Should childhood obesity be regarded as abuse or neglect?
Apparently there have been some 20 cases in the UK when Social Services have stepped in as parents have failed to take action to improve diet and lifestyle for seriously overweight kids.
Is this fair? Do some parents need more help than others? Or don't they care that they are storing up a lifetime of health problems for their offspring let alone the social problems of being teased if not bullied by their peers?
